 How does one become a Muslim (Submitter).

It doesn't require any rituals do become a Submitter (or Muslim). It is simply a personal decision you make, based on the fact that you accept the First Commandment with all your heart:

There is no other god except the One God.

A natural consequence of such a belief, is to choose to follow and uphold the guidance God has manifested to us through His scriptures.

The only criteria for making it is to (1) believe in God (2) believe in the Last Day, and (3) lead a righteous life (Quran 2:62 & 5:69).

Consequently there are many Submitters (Muslims) that call themselves by different names - Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus.

There is absolutely no reason to change name to become a Muslim. In fact, the Quran tells us not to (33:5).

Submission (Islam) is not the name of a religion; it is a description. Islam is the total submission and devotion to God ALONE.

Consequently there are many Muslim (Submitting) Christians, Muslim Jews and Muslim Muslims.

There is only one religion - to devote your worship to God ALONE.

That is the First Commandment in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and The Final Testament.

Then we revealed to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming previous scriptures, and superseding them. You shall rule among them in accordance with God's revelations, and do not follow their wishes if they differ from the truth that came to you. For each of you, we have decreed laws and different rites. Had God willed, He could have made you one congregation. But He thus puts you to the test through the revelations He has given each of you. You shall compete in righteousness. To God is your final destiny - all of you - the He will inform you of everything you disputed (5:48).

Only those who repent, reform, and hold fast to God, and devote their religion absolutely to God alone, will be counted with the believers. God will bless the believers with a great recompense (4:146)

Say, "My Contact Prayers (Salat), my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted absolutely to God alone, the Lord of the universe ."(6:162)

Say, "We believe in God, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters (3:84).
