Dr. Rashad Khalifa, an introduction
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Rashad Khalifa dedicated most of his life to the worship of God alone. He graduated from the college of Agriculture in Cairo, Egypt with degree of honor and obtained a scholarship to complete his graduate studies in the United States. He had a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and was a successful scientist as well. In 1968 he realized that the existing English translation of the Quran did not present the truthful message of God's final testament. When he saw the truth of God's words thus distorted by other translators, he decided to translate the Quran, at lest for the benefit of his own children. He spoke Arabic and English fluently, and had quite an extensive religious background - his father was a renowned Sufi leader in Egypt. He vowed to God that he would not move from one verse to the next unless he fully understood it.
The first chapter, The Key, was completed in a few days. The first verse in chapter 2 is "A.L.M." The translation of this verse took four years, and coincided with the divine unveiling of "the secret", the great mathematical Miracle of the Quran. The books of Quranic exegesis unanimously agreed that "no one knows the meaning or significance of the Quranic Initials A.L.M., or any other initials." In 1974 he began a computerized analysis of the whole text to see if there were any mathematical correlations among these Quranic Initials. The result showed for the first time in history that the Quran is characterized by a unique phenomena never found in any human authored book, and provides the whole world with built-in proof of divine authorship - a superhuman mathematical composition. Any reader of the Quran can easily verify the Quran's mathematical miracle. It is based on the number 19; it is simple to understand but impossible to imitate. It is mathematically coded far beyond human capability and is assuring evidence that the Quran is indeed the word of God.
What makes Rashad's discovery - by God's grace - extremely significant, is that it confirms previous scriptural findings, like those reported by Rabbi Judah the Pious [12th century A.D.] [See Appendix 1 of the Final Testament]. The number 19 rests in the fact that it is the gematrical value of the word "One" in the original languages of all the scriptures - Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic. The number 19 therefore proclaims the first commandment in all scriptures: "There is only One God."
Dr. Khalifa completed and published his first authorized translation of the Quran in 1981. In Ramadan 1408 [1988 AC] he announced that he was a messenger of God and proclaimed that he is the Messenger of the Covenant. In 1971 during his Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, his soul was taken to some place in the universe, and he was introduced to all the prophets as God's Messenger of the Covenant. His name "Rashad Khalifa" is mathematically coded in the Quran, and his mission was to confirm existing scriptures, purify them, and consolidate them into one divine message. The Quran states that such a messenger is charged with restoring God's message to it's original purity. To lead the believers - Jews, Christian, Muslims and others - out of darkness into the light [5:19 & 65:11]. He is to proclaim that Submission [Islam] is the only religion acceptable by God (3:19).
From 1968 until 1990 Rashad propagated and purified the true religion of Islam. He advocated the worship of God alone, denounced idol worship in any form, and proclaimed that the Quran was the only source people need for religions guidance [see Appendix 18]. In 1989 he published his second edition of the Quran, containing more information about the miracle of 19, and about restoring the Quran to it's original purity. The Final Testament is characterized by exposing and removing the two false verses [9:128-129), which was another duty of God's Messenger of the Covenant. These verses were exposed by the miracle of 19 [see Appendix 24].
On January 31, 1990, Rashad Khalifa was martyred in the Mosque shortly before dawn. He frequently came to the Mosque to observe the prayer and work on the translation. We learned from the Quran that many of the prophets and messengers, including Jesus, were granted this most honorable exit [see verses 4:157-158]. The Quran repeatedly states that the disbelievers will always try to defeat the truth and put out God's light. But God insists on perfecting His light [9:33; 48:28; 61:9). "He is the One who sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, and will make it dominate all other religions, despite the idol-worshipers." 3:130-140 states, "You shall never waver, nor worry, for you shall be the victors, if you are believers. If you suffer any hardship, the enemy also suffers the same hardship. We alternate the days of victory and defeat among the people. God thus distinguishes those who truly believe and grants martyrdom to some of you. God does not love the unjust.
